Versatile Travel Outfits
If you are anything like me, you LOVE traveling, but also feel such stress and worry when it comes to packing. You want to find the perfect pieces to bring with you on your trip that will be both stylish and comfortable. One of the keys to packing smartly is making sure you create a travel capsule, where everything mixes and matches seamlessly together. This provides maximum versatility. You also need to consider what you’re going to wear on the actual travel days too. On travel days, comfort is KEY! And, you want to wear pieces that you’ll be able to wear again on your trip. Yep, it’s a tall order. Hence why I typically get packing anxiety. But, in this post, I’m sharing some anxiety-free, incredibly comfortable and versatile travel pieces that you can confidently pack and wear!

Spanx AirEssentials Collection
Have you heard of the Spanx AirEssentials Collection? I’ve talked about the collection before in this post. They are RIDICULOUSLY comfortable. I mean, like the most comfy pieces you’ll ever wear. They are also an Oprah favorite. And, in case you are still not convinced, here’s even more incentive to give them a try, you can use code ERINXSPANX to get 10% off your Spanx purchase.
The #1 reason I love the AirEssentials Collection so much is the fabric. It’s lightweight and breathable, it’s perfect for women going through menopause or who just run warm. The fabric also drapes beautifully, and the fit is wonderful. It also is wrinkle-resistant which is one of the reasons it’s great for travel. Keep scrolling for some of my new favorites from the collection…
#1) AirEssentials Spice Set
If you’re looking for the absolute best travel outfit, especially for a really long flight…this is IT! I already have this set in three other colors, but I was so excited to get it in this gorgeous Spice color for fall. The color is a pretty mix of burgundy and chocolate brown but it comes in a few other colors that are more neutral too. Traveling in this half zip and the wide leg pants is super comfortable but you also look super chic, elegant, and pulled together.
AirEssentials Half Zip
I’m wearing the half zip in the amazing, super soft on the skin, wrinkle-resistant, comfortable, and lightweight AirEssentials fabric. I love this half zip…it’s very chic, you can zip or unzip it as much as you want, and it’s not too thick, so you can tuck it into pants a little without adding bulk.
Matching Pants
I’m wearing it with the matching wide leg pant that has such a good fit and is SO comfy. I have on the AirEssentials Wide Leg Pant in the petite inseam and it works perfectly with a pair of sneakers (I’m 5’4” for reference). The Wide Leg Pant comes in regular, petite, and tall inseams, and there is also a Cropped Wide Leg Pant option!
Remember you can use code ERINXSPANX to get 10% off your Spanx purchase + free shipping.
How To Wear Them at Your Destination
Another great thing about these pieces is that you can mix and match them when you get to your destination to get some serious mileage out of them. Style the half zip with a tee, jeans, and sneakers for a day of sightseeing. If you get too warm, you can tie it around your shoulders for a chic look. Similarly, you can style the pants with a tee and sneakers for a casual breakfast or lunch. If you want to take it up a notch, throw on a denim or leather jacket to elevate the look a bit more.
#2) AirEssentials Long Sleeve Wide Leg Jumpsuit
The next new AirEssentials piece I’ve added to my collection is this super cool, elegant, versatile jumpsuit. I love it so much and have been wearing it around the house nonstop. This is a one-and-done piece you could bring with you on a trip to wear sightseeing or even out to dinner…it’s sneaky chic! Plus, the fabric is wrinkle-resistant (and comfortable), so you don’t have to worry about steaming or ironing it. I wouldn’t wear it on travel day because it is a jumpsuit and you don’t want to be completely disrobing in an airport bathroom…or worse, an airplane bathroom.
I love the deep pockets and that you can wear it zipped or unzipped. You can also push the sleeves up to give it an even more styled look. It doesn’t need it, but if you wanted to elevate it a bit more, you could play around with adding a belt too. I’m wearing the jumpsuit in the Petite length (30” inseam) and it works with sneakers.
#3) AirEssentials Ballet Wrap
The next piece I snagged is this ballet wrap that’s in the same amazing AirEssentials fabric. It’s very chic and looks SO elevated but is incredibly comfortable. Wrap tops are super flattering on most body types, but especially for women with larger busts. Even if you’re not traveling, this top is a great one to have in your closet. It also comes in white if you want to create some contrast against black pants. I’m wearing the AirEssentails Wide Leg Pant again with sneakers and the fit and length are just perfect!
How To Wear Them at Your Destination
Since the pants are black, they’re super versatile. Wear them with any casual top or tank you have in your little travel capsule and sneakers for sightseeing or meals. The ballet wrap would also look amazing styled with jeans and sneakers for a casual chic look! I’d also wear this ballet wrap over my sports bra to and from a workout for a little extra coverage.

I love the air essential outfit! It is so soft and comfortable. I dohave a question…. How do you tie the ballet top?
So glad you love it too, Gloria! Erin tied the ballet top on her side toward the back so you can’t really see it, but you can put the tie on your side or further in the front too. Since the top is a wrap-style, you’ll take the longer tie on the left side, thread it through and around your right side to the back. Then take the shorter tie (that’s on your right side) to the tie you just wrapped around your back and tie it into a nice little bow. It’s the same process for tying any sort of wrap-style top or dress! It’s a little difficult to describe over text, but please let us know if you have additional questions! ~Team Busbee
